What a sample jigger is used for
The NSWR sample jigger is a small standard jigger for laboratory dyeing and sample dyeing. It lets a dye house match colour and test a recipe on a few metres of the real fabric before a bulk lot.
It runs the same method as a production jigger: open-width cloth wound between two rolls through a small bath. That makes sample results transfer well to jigger production.
Runda lists touch screen or text display, automatic temperature control, pass counting, reversing and stop, and a pneumatic door with a sealing strip.

|---|---|---|
| Cloth width | 300 to 600 mm | Order a size to match your sample size |
| Sample length | A few metres to tens of metres | Runs open-width |

Selection points for the NSWR sample jigger
Scale-up. The sample jigger helps most if your production machine is a jigger too. Process settings carry across with the same tension and speed logic.
Operation. Choose touch screen or text display. A touch screen helps if you store many recipes.
Drive. Single or double frequency conversion is available. Double gives separate roll control, closer to a large jigger.
Central control. If you run several machines, ask about connecting them to one controller.
Accessories. Optional cloth discharge and circulation units are available on request.
Typical applications of the NSWR Sample Jigger
- Colour matching before a bulk jigger lot
- Recipe tests for reactive, direct, vat and disperse dyes
- Small sample orders before a bulk lot
- Training of dye-house staff
Configuration options
- Double frequency conversion (optional, on request)
- Cloth discharge unit (optional)
- Circulation unit (optional)
- Central control of several jiggers (optional)
Items marked optional are available on request. The final configuration is confirmed on the quotation.
NSWR Sample Jigger: frequently asked questions
Why use a sample jigger rather than a beaker dyer?
Beaker dyers use cut swatches in small pots. A sample jigger dyes a length of cloth under real tension and speed, which is closer to jigger production.
Can I connect several jiggers?
Yes. Runda lists central control for several jiggers.
Is the door sealed?
The door opens and closes pneumatically and has a sealing strip.
What do you need for a quote?
Cloth width, sample length, dye class, control level and destination country.
