WHERE IT IS USED

Dyeing in a loop: before and after

Applications
Before and after dyeing: undyed white fabric on the left, the same fabric dyed one even red on the right
Left: before. Right: after. Illustration.
Before
Undyed white cloth.
After
The whole piece takes one even colour from edge to edge.
Typical use
Polyester knit dyed in a loop under heat and pressure takes one even shade across the lot, with the cloth kept relaxed.

What the HTHP overflow machine does for woven polyester

This is a horizontal high-temperature high-pressure overflow jet dyeing machine. Fabric runs in a rope loop, and an adjustable overflow nozzle carries the cloth with a stream of liquor.

Runda lists it for open-width woven fabric, especially high-value synthetic fibre and microfibre. It also does scouring, bleaching, preshrinking and alkali reduction.

Compared with a jigger, a jet machine moves cloth very fast and mixes well, but the cloth runs as a rope. It suits fabrics that tolerate rope handling.

Selection points for the HTHP overflow machine

Nozzle size. Three sizes are offered: 60, 75 and 90 mm. Heavier fabric needs a bigger nozzle. Share your weight range.

Capacity. The 250 kg limit is per tube and depends on process and fabric. Plan the number of tubes from your lot size.

Material. 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 321 or 316L stainless steel are listed. 316L resists chloride better in bleaching and acid routes.

Control. Choose manual or program control. Program control gives repeatable shade across shifts.

Liquor ratio. 1:6 to 1:12 depends on fabric and load. A lower ratio reduces water and heating cost; test your heavy and light fabric.

Typical applications of the HTHP Overflow Dyeing Machine

  • Disperse dyeing of woven polyester and microfibre
  • Dyeing of nylon and polyester-cotton blends
  • Scouring and bleaching in the same vessel
  • Alkali reduction of polyester for a silk-like hand

Configuration options

  • Program control with dosing curves (optional)
  • Additional tubes (optional)
  • Stainless steel grade choice (listed: 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 321 or 316L)
  • Different nozzle sizes (listed: 60, 75 and 90 mm)

Items marked optional are available on request. The final configuration is confirmed on the quotation.

HTHP Overflow Dyeing Machine: frequently asked questions

What are the pressure and temperature limits?

Maximum working pressure is 0.4 MPa and maximum working temperature is 145 °C.

What does 250 kg per tube mean?

The vessel can hold up to 250 kg of fabric per tube. The actual load depends on fabric and process.

Can the machine do scouring and bleaching?

Yes. It is listed for scouring, bleaching, preshrinking and alkali reduction as well as dyeing.

What fabrics are not suitable?

Cloth that marks in rope form or has a very open structure may suit a jigger better. Test lot first.
